<\/span><\/div>The Moto Twelve\/CFMOTO team arrived on the Isle of Man for the 2026 TT Races greeted by exceptional weather conditions, which provided ideal track time throughout practice and qualifying week.<\/p>\n
Both Shaun Anderson and Jamie Cringle completed five trouble-free laps of the Mountain Course aboard the CFMOTO 675SR-R, gaining valuable track-time on the bike with every outing. The feedback from both riders was overwhelmingly positive, with the pair praising the handling, braking performance and overall package of the BSB-specification Sportbike.<\/p>\n
Despite a productive qualifying period, the team faced an unexpected challenge midway through the week.<\/p>\n
Racing Director Eddie Roberts explained: \u201cWe were dealt a setback during qualifying following a regulation clarification that allowed some competitors to utilise fuel mapping configurations outside of the standard British Sportbike specification, that gave them considerably more power. As the CFMOTO 675SR-R is already configured to the maximum permitted BSB specification, this left us at a significant disadvantage ahead of race one.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing discussions with the organisers, it was confirmed that the regulations would return to full BSB specification for the second race. After careful consideration, we elected to continue with our existing package and use the event as a valuable development opportunity, gathering as much data as possible for 2027.\u201d<\/p>\n
Due to a change in weather on the second week, race one was delayed until Friday 5th June.<\/p>\n
The team\u2019s preparations suffered a major blow when Cringle was involved in an accident during the preceding Supersport race at Union Mills. He sustained significant leg and chest injuries and was unable to take his place on the grid for the Sportbike race.<\/p>\n
Everyone at Moto Twelve would like to send Jamie their very best wishes for a full and speedy recovery.<\/p>\n
Undeterred, Anderson carried the team\u2019s challenge into the shortened two-lap Sportbike race. Despite the top-speed deficit, Anderson produced a strong and determined performance to finish 18th from 37 finishers, recording an impressive lap speed of 116.6mph.<\/p>\n
Importantly, he was the first rider home on a full BSB-specification machine.<\/p>\n
Anderson commented again on the handling of the bike, saying that the bike ran perfectly and he looks forward to riding again on a more level playing field.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, race two was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, denying the team the opportunity to demonstrate the full potential of the CFMOTO 675SR-R under the revised regulations.<\/p>\n
